Yitzchak Rabin was a true Israeli hero, and a hero
of the Jewish people. He risked his own life to fight for the survival
of Israel, which is essential to the survival of the Jewish people as a
whole. In the end, he gave his life in a successful attempt to bring
peace to Israel and the Middles East. When I heard of the
assassination, I was at first in a state of shock. When came to
reality, I was deeply saddened and depressed. How could such a
horrible thing happen to such a man? More over, how could a Jew do
such an unspeakable act. How could anyone condone the assassination,
let alone other Jews? I have spent the last two summers in Israel
studying Hebrew at Ulpan Akiva and working on kibbutz Maayan Tzvi. I
have come to feel like an Israeli. I plan to make Aliyah in the near
future. As a American-Jewish college student, I know that I am not
alone in my strong feelings for the state of Israel. My next visit to
Israel will hopefully be soon, but it won't be the same without Rabin.
Every time I go to synagogue, I feel a deep loss. I can only imagine
how this feeling must be in Israel. In order for the legacy of Rabin
to live on, the Peace Process must continue. Because of the efforts of
Yitzchak Rabin, the state of Israel and the Jewish people will some day
live in complete peace with our neighbors. Remember what Herzel said:
"Im tirtzu, en zo agada" I extend my deepest sympathies to the Rabin
family. You are not the only ones mourning the loss of Rabin, Though
I never met him, I feel like I knew him better than I know my own
family. Let s, the Jewish People and the state of Israel pray for
peace, and shalom. As Rabin did, I will do everything under my power
to see that Israel has peace with her neighbors. Again, I extend my
condolences.

               B'shalom,

I was shocked by Rabin's Murder. He was a great
person who contributed to his country by fighting in war, and then for
peace.
His death was a terrible tragedy, and now the world seems like a darker
place, as it is a place where such a man can be murdered by someone
from his own nation.
Still, the hope for this man's will, peace, remains, and grows.

No words can possibly express the pain and horror of
the

past two weeks, not only for us, but for all of Israel, and

that it takes a tragedy of this magnitude to make us love

each other a little more. We pray at this time that the

hope of peace that was given to us by Yitzhak Rabin will

prove to be a true vision, and that we will not be let down

I wish to send my deepest condolence to Rabin's
family and his country,

the state of Israel. I was shocked to discover that Rabin was
assassinated

, I was even more shocked that the murderer was Jewish....deviating my

expectation that the assassin is an Arab or Palestinian. I never knew

that a Jew can ever dare to kill another Jew. However, I am aware that
it

is not the first time in the Jewish history.

When Rabin was alive, I always thought that he was a GOOD leader. When

he was assassinated, I started to believe that he was an OUTSTANDING
leader!

After reading a lot of newspaper on Rabin's uncountably
accomplishments,

it made me feel that he is an only Jewish politician who wants to make
peace

with the neighbors. I got a feeling that Rabin had a long-term
strategy...

captured a lot of lands during 6-days War and then returned them for

peace. It had been his plan all along that made him the most brilliant

gentleman in all over world. He tried to bring the best out of Israel.

To Israeli Government, I am sure that Rabin did not want his death to

falter your good progress. I know that today is very difficult because

you have so many oppositions in any level or area or party. Yet, just
keep

working in making peace with the neighbors and all oppositions will

eventually accept the peace and live happily ever. Only you and I

have a great vision on Israel's future.

I wish everybody in Israel the best of lucks and keep SHALOM alive!

Shalom

Dear Rabin family, friends, and the People of
Israel:

I would like to express my condolences for the loss

of Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. Mr. Rabin was fine

gentleman: a family man, a statesman, and "Man for Peace."

I was very saddened of his death. We will miss him.

Mr. Rabin spearheaded and orchestrated a campaign

to bring peace to the Middle East. He did a fine job

at it. I commend him greatly for this. Prime Minister

Rabin wasn't a quitter. Just like Richard Nixon once

said, "Do not quit because if you quit, you're going

to suffer defeat." Well, Mr. Rabin did just that. He

fought the battle and prevented defeat.

As a future student of journalism, I wanted to

meet with Mr. Rabin, but that chance has been taken

away from me by a militant radical assasin. In my

bedroom, I have displayed pictures of world leaders

I feel feel that have played an important part

bringing peace throughout the world and Mr. Rabin is

one of those fine leaders.

Brother Yitzhak, we all miss you. I ask GOD to

bestow his blessing upon you. Farewell, dear brother.

                            Your Fellow Brother,

how do we jews look towards other people when acts like this one come

specialy when the expression says that where you have two jews you will
find three opinions, so what will be when these opinions do not concord

i only hope that this act is one commited by a crazy criminal and that

I have a friend from Israel. The day Rabin died, I
happened

to see him. He came over to my place to watch the CNN

Headline News and find out if that terrible thing really

happened. It was very sad for me to see how much he has

suffered, after he learned the truth. Just by watching him

and realizing what a great deal of pain he's been through,

here, in California (and after spending more than a decade

in U.S.A.), far away from his homeland, I was wandering:

if a Israeli man like him could suffer that much for Yitzhak

Rabin's death, then there should be a great deal of unity

among the Israeli people, wherever they may live. That has

really touched me, and, thinking of that, I hope that

Rabin's struggle and achievements were not in vain.

My deepest sympathy to his family. I wish them the

best in life. And to all Israeli people, as well. Whatever

would happen next, wherever you'll go and whatever others

would say, there is a certain and undeniable thruth that

you could take pride from, for the rest of your lives:

Yitzhak Rabin was a man, one of the few, who could prouve

through himself why an entire nation is so great.

The day Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was murdered,
assassinated by somebody claiming to be a pious Jew,
was a very sad day for the Jews in general
and for me in particular.
Whenever there was something that reminded me
of this event in the news or in the papers, I began
to cry.
Our Tora says 'Thou shalt not murder', it does not
make an exception if you do not agree with the
policy of an elected leader.
How can anybody call him, who fought during all
of his life for the existence and security of
the State of Israel, who fought in the
War of Independence as a Commander, whose
brilliant strategy as General and Chief of Staff
helped Israel to win the 1967
War in less than a week, who - during his
time as Ambassador in Washington - improved the foundation
for the military, economic and policial American-Israeli
relations, who was brave enough to go a new path
toward peace with Arab neighbours and the Palestinians.

Blessed be His Memory. He was a Great Man.
History will remember him as somebody important.

It was not until I was 25 (I am now 31) that my
father first told me of his Jewish heritage. He was persecuted as a Jew
during World War II, escaping the Nazis by fleeing his native Austria
and then going underground and helping other Jews escape Nazi Europe.
My father continued to be traumatized by the persecution that he had
experienced as a child deciding only 1 year before his death to admit
to me that his parents had been Jewish.

Since the discovery of my Jewish roots I have come to understand the
stuggle of the Jewish people. Yitzhak Rabin personified that struggle.
Many years ago, when the odds were against him, Yitzhak Rabin fought to
protect Israel from attack by her neighbors. Recently he fought again
for Israel, only this time, she was attacked from within by her own and
Mr. Rabin paid the ultimate price.

I have now lost two fathers. However, what each father has left behind
can never be taken away. Herbert Steinschneider and Yitzhak Rabin both
believed that you must learn to forgive your enemies to achieve peace.
Mr. Rabin forgave his enemies and for this paid with his life. But what
Yitzhak Rabin started can no longer be stopped. The prize is peace and
the survival of Israel and her people, this alone is priceless.

Thank you Mr. Rabin

I was deeply sadden with Rabin's death. Watching the
burial

ceremony was almost too much to handle. I cried, then wiped

my tears and cried some more. Being an American Indian, I

know of many hostile people, all around. Why can't people

take the time to listen to each other, learn each persons

culture, beliefs and look beyond the color and power that one

person may have. We all belong to Grandfather, know matter

what religion you are. We must learn to live together. The

death of this mighty man was senseless. He may not have been

the treasured man of the world, but he was for peace. That

is something we all are looking for:if we can't find it, our

childrens' children will not have much faith in us. I look

into my children and grandchildrens' eyes and they are

searching for an answer. Where will we find it? To all the
