The time will come that we can all be friends. The peace-proces in the Middle-East is a step closer to this picture. I wish to thank mister Rabin for all his work on this. I hope that Isreal and his people are wise enough to continue his policy. My condolences go to the Rabin-familly and the people of isreal. The soldier of the six-day war died as a soldier of peace.

A great man, not lost, but, will live on forever in the hearts of those who love only peace. In my paper today was a photo of a large gathering of Jewish people, and amidst the crowd, above all, was the face of an Arab, who was joining in the Peace Gathering. He epitomised the longing for all, to have peace on earth. He will be missed by all the world.

I find the murder of Prime Minister Rabin to be as apalling as the murder of President Kennedy in 1963. I hope the people of Israel bond together to continue his efforts for peace in the Middle East. As a Jew I am apalled that another Jew would take the life of one of his own and believe in my heart that this only typifies the world's little regard for human life. No one wants to take the time to talk. They talk with guns and this is wrong! My thoughts are with the Rabin family and I am sure their strength will allow them to go on and remember their husband, father and grandfather with love in their hearts always.

The personal feeling of friends and relatives are never taken into consideration by the murderer when committing a political assassination. This is why aggressions like the assassination of mr. Rabin is mildly put unfair. At a political level the murderer always wishes to accomplish something, but little do they know not to mention respect. The only change will be the feeling of loss that people all over the world will feel for him, and he will be cherished as great leader.

Mrs. Rabin, I would like to express my condolances and deep sorrow. Mr Rabin was a brave man, a galant warrior, and a noble statesman. He fought for peace in the desert and in the Kneset. He went so far as to make peace with the Arabs. No one else would have, or could have, done that. As an American Jew, I have found that Mr Rabin's death is not just shocking in it's brutality, but by the hand that perpetrated it. Sabrim don't show these things, but Americans Jews (for all our violent society) are shaken that one Jew would murder another. I was taught that we, as a people, would never do such a thing. I think it's up to us, as a people, to stop this here and now, before it becomes a threat to us all. Again, my heart is with you in this time. Michael Kivetz

I would like to express the pain and sorrow I feel for your family. No one should have to go through what you are. It is a shame that someone so full of life and hope should die like this. The peace he preached will one day show itself. The only questions are when, and at what price. When will we stop killing our children and when will the suffering stop. Prime Minister saw that these questions needed to be addressed and I hope that one day everyone will see what he did and come to realize that something needs to be done.

I am a journalism student who, as most of the inhabitants in our country, was appaled and sad to hear of Mr. Rabin's assasination. My country is one that has a vast jewish community and arab palestinian population, but never the less they have been able to coexist peacefully in this very narrow, though long country. I senserily hope that the People of Israel will be able to lift themeselves from this harsh and bitter blow to the cause of peace in our time. Though I know it is of little comfort, know that the what Mr. Rabin has begun will be continued, if not by Mr. Peres, by other such dedicated people. May the Lord protect your people in their hour of need and comfort them with the promise of heavenly reward. God bless, Marcelo G. Meza

Eretz Yisrael and K'lal Yisrael have suffered an immeasurable loss at the hands of the assissin who took the life of Yitzhak Rabin. While I questioned some of the details of the recent peace accords, there has never been any question to me that the Prime Minister, and others involved in the process, were taking what they thought to be the best actions to preserve the country they loved. I can take comfort in the knowledge that Prime Minister Rabin has earned his place in the world to come. So may we all.

Since the beginning of mankind and the emergence of good and evil, the doves of peace have struggled to fill the skies. Yitzhak Rabin was one of those doves; and although his flight was cut short, so so many others throughout history, he had proved it can be done therefore paving the way for others to follow. May God Bless you in your time of sorrow. But believe, as I do in my heart, that these doves of peace will always have their wings and will continue their work by guiding us that are left on earth.

Striving towards peace is a much harder thing to do than striving towards war. Yitzhak Rabin showed us the real possibilities that peace has as a counterargument to hatred. The price for this quest was a high one but he had already considered the dangers and went ahead anyway. For the sacrifice he made to the peace process he will remain a martyr forever and if the instruments of war are finally laid to rust then his ultimate legacy will be peace in Israel. A grand epitaph for a man who envisaged solidarity beyond a horizon stained with bloodshed, he was a great peacemaker who will be sourly missed by many.

No words can express the sadness that I feel at the terrible act committed on that terrible day. I know, however that the work that Yitzak Rabin did for peace is far greater than any act of violence, and will overcome whatever acts are by terrorists. They will never overcome the hearts of the millions who wish for Peace. Let us all resolve to work all the harder to see that his dreams are fulfilled In Hope, Alexandra Siwek

To the Rabin Family, Words cannot express the deep sorrow that I am feeling. A great man, and a great leader died. There is just one question left to be asked: WHY??? I hope our country will stand strong and that the peace process will continue until peace will rest on all of us. I would like to share my condolences with the family; we all feel the deep pain that you are going through. I quite often sit and wish that something could be done to bring the past back and to erase this bad dream from all our minds... but that is quite the impossible. Therefore, all that is left to do is to look at the future with a lot of hope and to wish that Rabin didn't sacrifice his life for nothing!!! May peace come to all of us: "...SHALOM ALEYNU VE'AL KOL ISRAEL..." Sincerely, Elan Rosenberg

I hope that Israel will be able to carry on the peace process without Yitzhak Rabin. I realize that it is a very difficult time for your country and there will be many more challenges to the peace proces. There will always be people who are resistant to change unto death, and these people can do a lot of damage. However, I hope that there is not a destructive obsession with wiping out those who would stop the process. This would not be healthy for the country or the world. My sympathy to the family of Yitzak Rabin, he was a great man.

It is truly ironic, Yitzhak, that it took your violent death to make people in and out of Israel realize the true gifts of peace. Watching Arafat's pained reaction and listening to King Hussein and President Mubarak eulogize you brought tears to my eyes. In this information age, it is important for all lovers of peace to understand that those who make the most noise often win. It is a sad but true reality. Hopefully, the lesson has been learned. my condolences to the family of Mr. Rabin and my best wishes to the people of the middle east may their efforts and sacrifices lead them to participate in the great work of humankind in peace and understanding. May the Lord bless you all. I am the grandson of a Palestinian who immigrated to Chile at the begining of the century. Only once, in 1962, he visited his family in the middle east, who had then "moved" to Lebanon. He tried to visit his home town, by then in Israel. He was not allowed to enter Israel, unless he signed to acknowledge the State of Israel as the only and legitimate State of his homeland. He refused. He could not enter. He came back to Chile, never to see his homeland again. I simpathized with him. Today, Mr. Rabin, together with other brave people, have opened a way to conciliation. We still have a long way to go, and much to learn. But we will go and we will learn. Mr. Rabin: My soul is filled with sorrow for your departure. But I know that, wherever you are, you will be working for your cause for peace. I salute you. farewell.

Blessed is the king who marcheth with the ensign of wisdom unfurled before him, and the battalions of justice massed in his rear... If the rulers and kings of the earth...arise and resolve to dedicate themselves to whatever will promote the highest interests of the whole of humanity, the reign of justice will assuredly be established amongst the children of men..." Comments:You are in our prayers. They say no one desires peace more than the true soldier. He dreams of peace and is willing to fight and die to obtain it for his people. Yitzhak Rabin was a true soldier who fought to protect and defend you, and he died trying to bring you a lasting peace. He now has his peace, it is up you to continue the process he so bravely began and realize peace for Israel. PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EASTName: Kerri Lynn Ritchie
