Dear Mrs. Rabin,

I want to first express my deepest condolences to you

and your family. I was on the fence when it came to

the peace talks but now I am 100% for them. The act of

cowardice comited against your husband had the complete

opposite effect than the cowards who did it hoped it would.

Your husband makes me proud I am Jewish,.

It seems only the truly great men die by an
assassin.

Never the evil ones and we have had our share of evil people

in the past 100 or more years. Mr. Rabin joins, Lincoln,

two Kennedys, Martin Luther King jr., Ghandi. and others of

lesser fame. Never the Hitlers, Stalin, Amin to mention some.

of the evil ones.

Mr. Rabin accomplished more in his lifetime than most will

do in ten.He will be gone but not forgotten

To Leah Rabin, her family and the State of Israel; We all

grieve with you on the great loss of Yitzhak Rabin and we

send our deepest sympathy. The memory of his heroism, goals

and achievements will be a beacon for all future generations.

May his vision for peace in Israel become a reality.

We encourage you to continue to speak out loudly against

hateful words and gestures by anyone, for any reason. We need

to put a spotlight on, and a mirror up to the person who

incites hate rather than debate. Perhaps then, some good can be

be salvaged from the needless murder of such a great person.

Sincerely,

What Rabin stood for is what many people lack in
todays society. Positive Change.
Not only did he understand that this was the time for positive change,
but he did all he could to make sure that there would be positive
change. He did many things that many of us wouldn't have the
courage/strength to do. There is a saying that I learned, and it goes
like this: "Your not dead unless society makes you dead". In Rabins
case all he has done for the people of Israel, as well as the world,
and all those who's lives he touched will remember him, therefore
making him live forever in our hearts.
Thank You Yitzhak! Your dream will come true!!!!!!!!!

Uri,

I am shocked and saddened as well. It seems as if the violence will be

never ending, in the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Peace,

In response-

Prime Minister Rabin was a great inspiration to all who pray for peace;
 his

death is a tragic, seemingly inconsolable loss not only to Israel but
to the

whole world.

When I heard news of his death Saturday afternoon, I wept openly, and I
was

grateful to be included in the memorial for him Monday at Stanford.
Though I

am not Jewish, Prime Minister Rabin has symbolized a great hope for me
in the

potential for enemies to make peace and to live as neighbors in
tolerance and

goodwill. Now may we resolve to follow his example of resolve, valor,
and

ultimately, sacrifice. And may God preserve the peacemaking work Rabin
has

left for others to complete.

My prayers are with the Rabin family and the people of Isreal. Thank
you for

allowing me to express these feelings.

Hi Uri,

I am wondering how you are feeling.

If it helps you at all know that this is a very sad time for everybody.

The death of Rabin has been a shock, one of those that hit like an

earthquake, in silence and leaves you dumbfounded.

I know you are very busy with classes and all but if you feel like

sitting down for 30 min I'd love to see you.

Shalom,

To the family of Yitzhak Rabin:

I speak as an American, a Jew and one of the billions of people who
want

peace when I say that I truly mourn the tragic death of Yitzhak Rabin.
The

courage and humanity of your husband, father and grandfather are an

inspiration to us all. I feel personally devasted by this outrageous
act of

violence, but I know that the example that Yitzhak Rabin set with his
words,

his actions, and finally his life, will never die.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this sad time for the
entire

Jewish family. With love and hope in my heart, I wish you peace and

comfort.

It took quite a while for me to accept Rabin's
death, in the hands of a Jew. I have great admiration for Rabin. To a
certain extent, I have always look upon him as a hero, for few men
would have the courage, strength and conviction to chose the path he
took. True middle east peace seemed like a far fetched dream, but I was
excited by it, I had believed that Rabin could do the impossible, just
like he did years ago. Maybe he will still make it, I truly hope that
his death wakes the Jewish people up. It's time for self examination.
How did the assasination happen? Do you know what attracts me to Israel
and the Jews? Their survival instinct and the ablility to face pain and
extreme difficulties bravely and move on, as one. I hope they will
carry on like this.
