It's shocking, what happaned here in Israel.

After the assasination, I went to the Knesset with

thousends of people, and it was so moving, to see that people

with all kinds of political views, left wingers, as well as

right wingers, EVERYBODY came there to pay last respect to 

one of Israel's best leaders.

I hope that was the last political assasination in Israel, 

and that all the people here have learned the lesson of what

comes out of any kind of violence, in the end it becomes an

When Rabin's governement started to talk about territories against
peace, I was 100% against. But with a little thinking and understanding

The Talmud Babli is very well adapted to the Galout. The rabbis tend to
create a confusion between the Goim and the non-religious people in
Israel. This is very dangerous and Rabin's murder is the result of this
confusion.



Life will continue. Even if the peace process is a strategic decision
the country should pursue, Perez should select his partners from

Who could have believed standing there at the peace
rally where there was such an outpouring of solidarity with Yitzhak
Rabin and Shimon Peres and the peace process, that this great man would
be gunned down at the end of the rally. He responded so warmly to the
people's support. In the atmosphere of hate that has been building up
here recently, we came out of our hiding, we, the lovers of peace and
democracy, we the silent majority, to demonstrate our support and
desire for peace. We felt proud of our leaders and proud of ourselves. 

Yitzhak Rabin was a national hero, he guided the nation through its
difficult path with confidence, assuredness and determination. Only
such a great figure as Rabin could have steered such a difficult path.
Like Kennedy, Martin Luther King, and Sadat, he payed price for his
courage. We have all payed a tremendous price.

I regret that I did not speak out before to express
my support for Rabin 

and the peace process, and to publicly decry the placards portraying
Rabin

dressed as a Nazi or wearing a kefiyah. I intend to become more
involved

from now on. However, I feel that just as I should not have stood
silent before

when Rabin was treated in that manner, I should not be silent now when
the

political opposition is being portrayed as if they are all responsible
for Rabin's 

murder. People on both sides of the political spectrum are mourning

Rabin's death.



In a democracy, people do have a right to express their opposition.

Neither side should be pointed to as "murderers" or "traitors." 

We are all one people and wrong has been committed on both

sides. If we can rise above all the hurts that have been committed

on both sides in the Arab-Israeli conflict, we should be able to

do the same among our own people.

very strange position regarding how to grieve for Prime

Minister Rabin's death.  Of course, the loss of such a

great leader is enough to send any citizen into a state of

grief.  Following Israeli news from the United States, I

made sure to keep up with Mr. Rabin's advancements and

achievements.  It was truly impressive.  Now, after

returning to the state of Israel, learning more about Mr.

Rabin as a man only heightened my great respect for him.

From a political standpoint, he was ahead of his time.

From an Israeli standpoint, he was a father.  From an

American standpoint, he was a historical martyr.

And from a personal viewpoint, he was my hero.
