I knew the Prime Minister very well. As a
photojournalist

in Israel from 1970 to 1976, I traveled with him frequently

on his personal aricraft. In fact, I remember coaching him

on how to improve his handshaking techniques so we could

always make him look good for the international press.

I will miss him. He was truly a great person, a great

peacemaker.

Let's pray the insanity ends here and now.

Perhaps the right wing lunatics will finally come to

their senses.

What have we become that we are now Jews assinating other

Jews. Didn't the Nazis, Russians, Arabs, and on back in time to the
Babylonias,

kill enough of us? Must we sink to unthinkable depths of

that same barbarism? If this continues we will finally

become our own worst enemies?

God forbid!

Thank you for putting up this web page.

I offer my sincerest sympathy to Leah and the entire

Rabin family. Our prayers are with you all.

Our family extends to the family of Prime Minister
Yitzhak Rabin our sincere condolences at your loss of a husband, father
and grandfather. The world's loss, though incalculable, cannot begin
to compare to the loss suffered by your fam
ily. May you realize that through his life, military and political
career, he has insured the continuation of the state of Israel through
a philosophy based on reason, ethics and compassion.

My first political campaign was 27 years ago: the 1968 Presidential
campaign of Robert Kennedy. His loss from an assassin's bullet has
changed the past quarter-century for this country, but his legacy has
affected people like me ever since. One cannot u
nderstand the reality of the present, with its uncertainties and
potential for violence. But then, as now, we have to make an effort to
understand, to realize that in spite of everything, the character of a
person will live on through his words, deeds, p
hilosophy and hope. Such a light is stronger than the winds of the
violent, the uncaring, the people who are consumed by hate instead of
understanding. May you feel that his life will sustain the cause of
peace for generations to come.

We are distressed beyond words by the assassination of

Yitzhak Rabin. As Jews, we are sick at heart that a fellow

Dear Mrs. Rabin,

I am an American citizen of Chinese descent, living in San Francisco. I
wanted, no, I needed to express my deep sorrow over the untimely death
of your husband. When I heard of his asassination, I felt a pang of
emptiness and loss in the pit of my stomach.
It recalled a time when I was 9 yrs. old and felt that same pang with
the loss of President Kennedy. Another beacon of light has been snuffed
out. We are again in darkness.

I profoundly regret his loss. For you and yours, the passing of a
husband, father and grandfather. To Israel the passing of a great
warrior and leader. For the world the loss of patriot for humanity and
a truly visionary statesman.

Prime Minister Rabin was a man whose accomplishmnets in the service of
his country had already earned him an honored place in history. But he
risked it all for peace. So that his country would not only survive but
thrive in the land of milk and honey.

His selfless act has made him an honored citizen of the World. I do not
think the world can survive many more such losses.

Shalom to Yitzhak Rabin, a man in the proud tradition of Joshua, David
and Ben Gurion. Beware Israel. Remember the folly of the sons of
Solomon. Remember the fate of Israel the last time Jews took arms
against Jews.

I will always remember his words, "Enough of blood and tears.
Enough!"

I think it is a terible tragedy that such a great
man was taken away from us before his mission here was done. We should
all be comforted to know, though, that his legacy will live on for a
very long time. After creating the possiblil
ty for peace in the middle east, there can be no turning back now.
Looking back at the years that Israel struggled with her neighbors, at
all the years of bloodshed and pain, one cannot help but be awed that
the chance for it all to end has finally arriv
ed. I have to marvel at what a great man Yitzak Rabin was to bring
about the seeds for this change.

All of the odds being against him, Prime Minister Rabin persevered, and
struggled, and finally succeeded where so many others had failed. Men
such as this are truly scarce nowadays. People around the world, Jews
as well as non-Jews, admire Prime Minist
er Rabin for just this reason: his determinatin. his iron will, his
strength, and his courage. The world has not just lost an incredible
statesmen, nor a great leader, but a great man, aside from ideology
and the like.

To the Rabin family, I would like to express my deepest condolensces.
Yitzak Rabin should not have gone this way. Be aware, though, that he

L'Misphat Rabin V'Kol Am Yisrael,

This is a great tragedy for both the country of Israel and all Jews
across the globe.

I send my condolences to everyone. I had the honor to hear Prime
Minister Rabin speak at

Yale University almost two years ago. The ticket to see him was a 16th
birthday present and it was

a birthday I will never forget. He was an incredible man and the
country and Jews everywhere

have suffered a terrible loss. I understand that I am only a young
American student, but for me

Israel is my home and I hope someone reads this message and appreciates
that American college students

are mourning and feel the pain that you are feeling. May you all stay
safe and one day we can live in

a peaceful world.

	B'shalom,

Yitzhak Rabin you were my hero over these last few
years as you were determined to see Jew and Palestinian live together
in Peace in Israel. You went beyond the call of duty and what anyone
thought possible - but I believe that Peace i
s alive in the hearts of many Jews and Arabs because of you and your
ideals and your contributions. You have birthed the idea of Peace - and
this cannot die. May the Prince of Peace walk with you now and
forever.

Every minute of the last several days, Yitzhak's
face has stayed within my thoughts. As an American Jew, his presence
has been a part of my consciousness sice I learned as an 11 year old
child of his prominent role in the 1967 war. When
ever I thought about the world and about the state of Isael, Yitzhak
Rabin was part of those thoughts. Perhaps the best thing that can be
said is that he is the embodiment of the State of Israel. He was born
on its holy soil, he grew and matured as it was
struggling to become a nation and he evolved as it did toward its
destiny--PEACE--

I cannot imagine Israel without Yitzhak Rabin. In its future existence,
in reality, it will never be without Yitzak Rabin.

I can not express my sadness. A great misjustice has
been done

to the person who least deserves it. Yitzhak IS great for two

reasons: he devoted his life to his people and he had the courage

to brake the cycle of hatrade and destruction, and peace a chance.

I feel tears creaping up when I look at his picture. I see those

eye full of energy, intelect, wisdome, and most importantly kindness
and wormness.

And I realize all that could not be extingueshed with a madman's

bullet. People with such eyes do not die. We, the Jewish people of the
world, shall carry on a

part of him within us. Yitzhak Rabin is alive and his existence is

I remember hearing Yitzhak Rabin many years ago at a small
Labor Party meeting in Haifa. In response to a question
from a schoolteacher, he said no, he was sorry, but for
budgetary reasons his government would not be affording
priority to the subject of education, important though it

TN news reported that Rabin, when in the
underground,

"turned his machine guns on fellow Jews." If true, this is

surprising and full of karma. Karmatic or not, perhaps

Israel will re-think its direction.

I would like to pay my condolences to the Rabin
Family and to the people of Israel. Yitzhak Rabin was one of the
greatest leaders that our world ever knew, and the thing that made him

I Truely hope that his life work will be continued by his inheritor
which I believe (and hope that so will be) should get the greatest

My last request goes to the people of Israel, please, let us STOP the

I wonder what makes great men great, brave men
brave. I believe we all have these things inside of all of us. Is it
circumstances that bring this to the forefront? Or, is this something
that special men and women realize and take as t
heir own. I thank the world and god for letting has have such persons
for the short while we do. I cried today because I am a man striving,
struggling to make the world better and seeing someone buried who has.
I am a Jew.

I was shocked and saddened to hear the news of Mr.
Rabin's

assasination. I felt the same way when Sadat died...

Although I am not Jewish, I knew quite a bit about his life

through articles and books. I grew to respect him for standing

up for his beliefs but even more so because he realized in

his later life that all people of good will must reach out for

peace. People like him are difficult to find and even more

so to replace. My prayers are for him, his family and the

people of Isreal. He will receive his just reward in the next

life....

May God bless Yitzhak Rabin...

With sorrow,

A few years ago, on the day Menahem Begin was
burried, I wrote

on the bathroom wall in the Technion the following:

"Today, Menahem Begin, the man who gave us our most glorious

and important peace, and who involved us in a stupid useless

war, was burried. May he rest in peace."

Today I would like to say the following.

"Yesterday, Yitzhak Rabin, was burried, after having been

murdered by a worthless dickless piece of shit, who wasn't

even a sperm cell when Rabin led us to the most glorious

victory in our finest hour perhaps, and who's father was

barely 20, when Rabin was leading the heroic struggle for

the road to Jerusalem and for the independance of our country.

What that scum did, is unthinkable, unforgivable, and horrile,

because it puts under a question mark the very freedom,

democracy and comradship between the people in this country.

Rabin will always be remembered as a great man. A good,

decent and honest man. A leader of men. In battle and in peace.

What he did for this country in his long and glorious life

is beyound words. And specially, his courage in the last 3 years

of his life, is something to be remembered. No Israeli leader has

done before what he dared to do. May he rest in peace, he will

be missed dreadfuly".

Amen.
