Rabin is truly a great man. He represented all that
is right

and good in a land marred by cut-throat events and politics.

He was both strength and compassionate visionary, a rare

combination. I grieve with people around the world and

feel a great loss.

I am so truly sorry for the family of P.M. Rabin,
and for the Jewish people.

we have truly lost one of our heroes, and we have truly

lost our way when we can have such a horrible thing come

from within our own midst.

I should note that I have not been a fan of the Oslo accords, or even
of

some of the P.M.'s statements and actions towards his fellow Jews in
Judea and Samaria,

but he never deserved to have such an end as this. I watched his
granddaughter at the funeral

and I realized that he was really doing all he did for the sake of
peace.

We all felt terrible. We disagreed with many of his

policies, but nevertheless, he was the leader of the whole

nation. This is a tragedy for all of us, regardless of

political differences.

Whatever our views on the agreement with the PLO, the peace

treaty with Jordan was a major achievement, celebrated by

the entire nation, and this is often forgotten by critics.

Political protests and elections are the acceptable way of

dealing with differences, not cold-blooded murder. The ways

of the murderer are not the ways of the Tora and Mitzvos

which we observe.

May this tragedy, among the many tragedies we all have

great man who shall be sorely missed.

"Let us not forget that there is always a moment when the moral choice
is made. Often because of one story, or one book or one person, we a
re able to make a different choice, a choice, for humanity, for life."
Mr. Rabin made his choice for humanity, for life and and most of all
for peace. Let us be able to make that same choice.

A great man that was a symbol of peace not less than
the dove went away because of lack of patience and tolerance and
respect.
Let's hope that only his body is gone, but that the ideals he believed
in will continue to live in each and every one of us.
Let's hope that his life was the tribute to be paid for promoting a
better society, where only love and care reign, where there is no place
for hate and selfishness.
Let the Rabin family continue to stand up in his memory, for all he was
in the eyes of his friends, his nation, and the peaceful nations of the
world.
We are with you in your sorrow.

I am sending mine and my family's condolences to
Yitzhak Rabin's

family, to Israel and to the whole world on this murder. We

are outraged that another life has been snuffed by the

opponents of Peace. When will the brothers and sisters of the

world learn to live in peace and harmony with each other? Is

this at all possible? It does seem to be an impossible dream!

Rabin, a soldier, understood that Peace and not war,

trust and not mistrust, love and not hatred is the only way.

When will all of us in the world understand this simple

message? If this is understood, there will be peace in the

world and Rabin's legacy will live on!

Let there be peace on earth! Long live peace! Let us all be

brothers and sisters in this world living in harmony in the

international community called the world! Throw away all other

differences and cast aside other shackles! Freedom to all

everywhere!

The assasination of Yitzhak Rabin once again proves
that there are a lot of barriers for the peace of the world. However,
as long as our goal, to achieve a peaceful world, is right, we will
never turn ourself down. Instead, we will reme
mber that there have been one more hero sacrefice himself for this
marvelous dream or desire. Therefore, no matter how difficult we will
come across in achieving our goal, we should struggle to the end, to

To the Rabin family and the people of Israel:

Growing up as a Jew outside Israel I have learned to love your country
and to admire your leaders. Yitzhak Rabin was a genuine Zionist and a
great man, his death is so shocking for me I can not find words to
exprress my feelings properly.

I would like all of you to know how much people around the world adored
Mr. Rabin, and I am proudly one of them. The feeling of emptiness that
now hits me is comparable to what I have felt when I lost close friends
and relatives. Mr. Rabin had this power
to move people without needing to use a demagogic style common to most
of his counterparts.

Yitzhak Rabin was a brave soldier that dedicated his life to his
country and that has done much more than to accomplish his mission : he
fought our enemies and then made peace with them, always doing so for
the sake of the jewish people.

All of us feel his lost and hope that this terrible episode of the
jewish history will serve as a moment of deep reflection to create a
better, more united jewish people. That is the least we can do to
honour Rabin's memory. "Don't let the land flowing

with honey and milk become the land of blood and tears."

Today is a sad day. Aval Ihye Tov. Ken.

My deepest condolences to Mrs. Leah Klabin and her family,

I visited Israel with a german youth-group in 1986 and was pleased

about the feeling to be welcome. I was a little confused about the

impossibility of an jewish-arabian dialog at that times.

I visited NEWE SHALOM and wished, taht it might be the way for all

the people in that region of the world, living together without
problems

of race or religion ... Mr. Rabin was one of the peoples,

who started the dialog and started the possibility of peace.

It makes me very sad to know that in Israel

a Jewish Prime Minster was killed by a Jew.

I believe that We here in Israel have to

first try to have Peace amongst our own

Nation, and then concentrate on having

peace with our neighbors. While I sat and

watched television today I watched hundreds of

thousands of Israelis express their grief,

I believe that Rabin's true legacy will

be continued if first and foremost the

people of Israel concentrate on understanding

each other and being tolerant of each other,

and only then as one Nation move forward

toward an everlasting Peace with our

neighbors.

It is particularly hard to be away from home at a
time like

this. The only consolation is to see, from afar, the

strength and dignity of the immediate family, the

outpouring of grief from the whole family of Israel, the

tearful expressions of sympathy and respect from all those

- from near and far - who knew this great man, and the

determination to continue and complete his life's work.

The greatest consolation is to see the spontaneous

Mr Rabin's ideals of the wonderful youth of Israel.

Though this has been a disgusting incident, I believe that

good will become of it. As a person of mixed Arab/Jew back-

ground, I hope that we all see that the genocide has gone on

long enough. It's my wish that all the blind people out

there can see now that it's not a Jewish issue, an Arab

issue, or even an Israeli issue. It's something that every-

one has to concern themselves with with the truth that even

those who've lived for peace have died violently, and will

continue to do so as long as the evil persists.

I am holding back my tears as I type this. I'm not
sure

why I have been crying. I have numerous relatives in Israel,

although I have lived in the U.S. virtually my entire life.

I am a 21 year old college student, and I attended a candle-

lit vigil for Mr. Rabin at our campus today.

So why am I so sad? Because I know that regardless of how

I feel, or regardless of how you feel, of what approach we

should take to successfully live without fear in Eretz

Yisrael -- what binds us together and makes us a unit --

"Am Echad" -- is the fact that as Jews we have to look out

for one another. And fundamentally we all want the same

end ... for the Jewish land of Israel to be a safe place to

live. The fact that it was a JEW who murdered this wonderful

man is dispicable. If we can't rely on peace amongst

ourselves, how can we demand it from others? Rabin was

a wonderful man because he dedicated practically his entire

life to the service of his country. And that alone deserves

a tremendous amount of respect, and praise. And for all of

us, I hope that his message of peace is one which lasts for

many decades to come, and that thanks to his efforts, the

fruits of his labor will come within our lifetimes. So that

Mr. Rabin Z"L, may look down one day and smile, knowing that

he gave his life for a dream which has become a reality.

Mr. Rabin's bravery made the world a better place.
The process he began will continue until a lasting peace is reached.
The act of a coward can not and will not change these facts.
